My gut is they are firing people. My bank is no longer open on Saturdays except for the drive through which is not particularly convenient to those who work Monday-Friday but what can you do. I do most of it online and through direct deposit so I guess I am part of the problem. I work for the Federal government so direct deposit is the only way to go.
I lost my job last year so I know what its like to be on that end of things and its no fun. I just wish everyone well.
but a big bank on sale? poor people is not fair, they are 50 and something, I think they are afraid of the new government rules, who knows this is a big bank in all USA, my goodness then big banks are more scared.
I recently moved my checking and savings from a large bank to a local credit union. The service is much better and I know I am not helping the “Too big to fail” crowd. My money is as safe as it was in a big bank thanks to FICA insurance and I sure feel better.
