What do you want to accomplish in the next 30 years?

I think our 50s is an amazing time for women.

Because of the way we were brought up, I think there has been an expectation that when we hit a certain age we would say, “Okay now I’m going to retire,” or “Now I’m going to move and I’m going to do something else.” But instead, many women of our generation and our age are not thinking of retiring. If anything, we’re reinventing ourselves. “What can I do now? How can I take the next 30 years and do something really profound?”

I also think we’re becoming less selfish. And I think that’s important. If there’s anything I would really like to do in the next ten or twenty years, it would be to help women become less competitive with one another. I would love for us to complete and support one another. I would like for all of us to really help others lift themselves up.
