Retirement near medical care

Has anyone thought about retiring to a place with limited medical care (for later down the road)?

    nope, all of the opposite.  As we age we will need medical care and that is why you have to think before you make that decision.  It could save your life.

    How about retiring in an an environment with active baby boomers, on the beach of Santa Monica, CA where meals are included on your rent, daily housekeeping, 24 hour staff. MD will visit every month and as needed.

      I didn’t see your response, Tovi!  I guess you can see from what I wrote above that my husband has his heart set on the mountains of Texas.  I know – you didn’t know they had mountains in Texas.  

      Ft. Davis has the darkest skies in the continental US and he is an astronomy nerd!  He and I and several telescopes are headed to the high elevation desert of Davis Co, Texas.  Sounds like a picnic, doesn’t it?
