I’m cleaning up my workspace today, which always leads to random
meanderings. Come along and puzzle with me:
- How could Paul Ryan’s budget plan have neglected to note the cost savings
Congressmen and -women could achieve by giving themselves a cut in salary? - Since Africa has so much difficulty with abusive male rulers, why don’t the
various countries vote women into the top positions? - According to Time magazine (April 25), 27% of press releases issued by U.S.
senators between 2005 and 2007 consisted of partisan taunting. How come we
elect people who act like kindergartens? - In discussing the overrated book (in my opinion) Eat, Pray, Love,
Sandip Roy said, “I couldn’t help wondering, where do those people in Indonesia
and India go away to when they lose their passion, spark and faith? I don’t
think they come to Manhattan. I wonder if there could be an exchange program
for the passion-deprived, a sort of global spark-swap.” Yeah. What do you say? - Just read a startling figure: 33% of the food produced in the world for
human consumption every year winds up lost or wasted. - On June 21–first day of summer and longest day of the year–every national
park will offer free admission. Yippee! Go have fun… for free.
Okay, enough ruminating. Back to work!

Two issues (I hope). I must must take umbrage with the phrase "be ashamed until....." BE ASHAMED??? of what, when, where?? Never. It is impossible to be a child of God -- whole and perfect and be ashamed. When has shame ever 
I first heard of this word when I took part in the Winter Feast For the Soul. I have been a follower of the meditation teacher Davidji from the Chopra Center for two years now and he taught a lesson on this during the Feast. I play that downloaded me
