No More “Retirement”

Has anyone come up with a better word to describe that period of life after you’ve left the career that consumed your life until age 60 or so?  I’m getting ready to take the step and prefer not to say “I’m retired” when asked: And what do you do?

    I’m always shocked when people ask me if I am retired.  I always say:  I haven’t even started yet!

      You sound like you’re having a great time in this, your latest segment of life. My Dad always says “If you rest, you rust”.  He’s 92 and going strong.
