I have anticipated retirement with excitement and have plenty of volunteer, family, travel and enrichment opportunities, yet I really miss the structure and the social network of my work life.

Yes, I loved the structure, every hour counted. I felt very productive, and don’t quite like all this free time. I have fille my days with gym classes, yoga, and hiking. But working made everything real.
I’ll trade ya for a few months……I am at least ready for a vacation if not retirement……feeling kind of burnt out today…..
I retired early 2 years ago. And I really did miss it for a while. Had many “what was I thinking?” moments. But once I got further into it, the feelings went away. As long as you find fulfilling things to do with your time, and make new social contacts. the feeling will probably go away for you too.
