Law student battling ADD w/o help

Does anyone have advice for me on how to get through finals? I am in law school and have ADD, but have never bothered to get an “official” diagnosis.

I now realize I was being shortsighted — I really need either the extra time the law school allots to folks like me or the meds, or both.

I am 62, and although I have fairly good energy, I am no longer the human whirlwind I used to be (and depended on). Perhaps something herbal out there to help keep energy levels up and mind clear?

No longer the human whirlwind, I can relate to that.  I also am 62 and made a career change 3yrs ago.  I can’t believe how difficult it has been.  The decline in my memory was the worst, and I was fearful of loosing my job because of it.  I to thought I must have ADD, I saw my doctor who told me that ADD is something your born with, not something you acquire.  After some test, I was put on namenda (yes this is for Alzheimers) but is also used for memory impairment related to stress, which is what I had.  It worked wonders within 7 days.  I couldn’t believe it.

With my confidence back I realized I wasn’t in as bad shape as I thought and before long was back to my old self.  Take heart and pace yourself.

Wow. What a great idea. I will look into that as soon as I get on AZ’s version of Medi-Cal. I have battled ADD most of my life, once it became an issue. I was able to work around it throughout childhood and adolescence — I had a prodigious memory and very little to challenge my intellect.

It wasn’t until I had to put disparate data together that the ADD became more evident. I had all the data in my mind; I just couldn’t get it out quickly enough and in an organized fashion. It was (and is) as if my mind is a ping-pong ball careening about in my brain. Really annoying. Thank you for the insight.

I shop with a company that has the best nutritionals in the market place (they have the science to back it up)

Our vitamins supplements have helped so many people with ADD. also removing the chemicals from your home makes a big difference. We also have a product for Healthy Cognitive function . It is the first and only brain supplement that helps support memory ,concentration, and recall using patent pending formula. omega 3′s ,ginkgo biloba, blueberries and vitamin E.  (I take this product daily as my mom has alzheimers ) I want to prevent this from happening to me.   If you want more information you can visit my vn and e-mail me , I could send you some testimonials from others with ADD.

    Take Care
