I’m trying to ‘find myself’ and am looking for self=assesment tools that can help me start a re-invention/repositioning plan.

I’m staring down my 60th birthday, and am unemployed.  I have a long career in direct marketing, but no education beyong ‘some college’.  I need to work to support myself.  I’ve took a low-paying job the last time around, in hopes of getting in somewhere and starting over.  It didn’t work out, mostly due to the economy.  So here I am again…looking for work…but needing to focus on positions that can last and pay me what I need to survive.

I have just started reading the following book. I Don’t Know What I Want, But I Know It’s Not This: A Step-by-Step Guide to Finding Gratifying Work by Julie Jansen.  Around $10.00 on Amazon.com.  It is sort of a workbook and so far (I’m only on Chapter 4) I REALLY like it.
