Free up some of your time

We’ve all heard of outsourcing (often synonymous with off-shoring). Well, in a recent interview with NPR’s Madeleine Brand, author Timothy Ferriss describes how he uses “off-choring” to free up some of his time.

One Friday afternoon when his bike broke down, Ferriss called AskSunday.com and requested that someone call 3 bike shops within 10 miles of his ZIP code to find and reserve the needed part — and to then call him and tell him where to go pick it up. That was just one of 30 requests allowed under the $60/month plan, so that search for the bicycle part cost a whopping $2. Not bad!
