I believe there are people on this earth to are angels to us when we are most in need. I am glad she was there for you in that moment. Hugs to you fairelaine!
Five to Nine
Thank you so much — I do endeavor to be thoughtful, grateful and kind to the best of my abilities.
I am constantly amazed and touched at the kindness of ‘strangers’! The last few years have been very, very difficult for me financially but I do my best to keep going. In these times, it has become easier and easier to see the true soul of individuals – the cream does indeed rise to the top!
I love this post, 5 to 9, but I bet she received as much joy from the gestures than you did. Isn’t it wonderful that a small kindness can raise both parties to a higher level of consciousness. I would guess that you have already paid it forward because I tell from your posts that you are a thoughtful, grateful person. All the best to you.
I can’t begin to recount the kindnesses that I have received, but the most recent one is definitely at the top of the list. I have recently separated from my husband of 25 years. I was at my daughter’s house to see my grandkids on the day before Valentine’s Day. Their wonderful nanny must have been worried that I would be sad on my first Valentine’s Day as a “single” and gave me a lovely tulip plant as her “Happy Valentine’s Day” to me. I was touched beyond words.
my mother she told me I never gave her pain or sorrow , I loved her so much.
Pmc, I think that is such a wonderful thing your aunt did for you. I have worked with students who had a very bad time in school. The thoughts of learning becomes quite scary. Most often, others looking in don’t undertstand what a big thing it was for your aount to do what she did. I would bet she must love you very much and more importantly believe in your gifts. Satori3
WHAT SCHOOL WERE YOU GOING TO AT THE TIME.?
IF YOU NEVER THANKED HIM ,LET ME? THANKYOU SIR. YOU ARE AN OUTSTANDING MAN .
MY AUNT SET UP SUMMER SCHOOLING,IN HER HOME FOR ME.
Because school was diffecolt for me.
Suni, I think family is a connection of the heart. So in a sense yout friend really was your sister. And you husband…. wonderful that he knew what you needed. It is usually the small acts that are the greatest in our memory. Thank you for sharing!
Itstime, it sounds as though your mom was an angel in disguise. Mother’s are gifts but sometimes it takes losing them for us to see how much they meant to us. My mom left us this past April and everyday I miss her and so wish to be able to talk to her again. She, like your mother, always put the happiness of her children first. I consider myself fortunate to have spent the last 8 months of her life with her in my home. Thank you for telling us about your mom. Satori3
I do as well dillin257. I think it is great you have so many memories of kindness. I am pretty sure you must have a kind and caring heart because we all know it comes back to welcome us after we extend it into the world. Have a wonderful weekend! Satori3
Catherine that was a fabulous story. I love it when the guys’ guy shows his feminine side. When I found myself pregnant and alone at 26, I remember being afraid my older brother, whom I was living with at the time, would throw me out. Instead he went out and came back with a rose which he threw at me saying, “Here’s something for you!” Inside his tough exterior lived a heart of mush. He died a few years back but that is one memory that brings a smile to my heart whenever I think of him. Thank you for sharing. Satori3
Thank you for sharing your story with me and all of the others who chance by this question. You are so right about people. I have come to see there are many more good things happening then we often realize. I think that is why I am passionate about sharing stories because in the end it inspires kindness to carry on and touch even more lives! Satori3
It’s a wonderful question ,I can think of so many acts of kindness, I wouldn’t be able to choose just one. When people look to help, like holding a door, or giving some sort of aid, or a simple smile from a stranger, I consider a kindness.
