Just what the world needs, another blog. right? Thanks for indulging my ramblings on this interesting phase of life.
I’m not here to dole out advice. Believe me, that’s not my thing.
After my first marriage ended years ago, I once tried, with some pressure from my mother, to give my dad a little marital advice. He was not impressed.
“You of all people have no right to tell anyone how to run their marriage.” he said.
The man had a good point, and that was the last time I ever suggested anything to anyone!
And guess what? I’m still trying to figure it out, just like everyone else.

Most people get the feelings of happiness mixed up with pleasure. Pleasure is from an outside source. You can have pleasure without being happy. Understanding happiness is fairly simple . . . Happiness is a judgement about your situation. “Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.” -Abraham Lincoln. Happiness does not clash with any of your values and it does not work for your own destruction.
I completely agree…and every day brings about a new adventure!
