Because I are one, I have always believed in the power of women. I consider myself to be blessed with my gender and think women should not only support but also celebrate one another!
However, as I have aged and my circle of acquaintances has grown I have been somewhat disappointed in how women sometimes view and treat each other. Actually I have been shocked and dare I say quite taken aback by some less than supportive behaviors toward women, BY WOMEN?
I got to say whoa, let’s slow up and take a look around at some remarkable sisters in our lives. Let’s TOOT a horn or two for those ladies who work tirelessly, raise families, give to their communities and still volunteer their precious little time to causes they hold dear.
With that in mind I will begin to TOOT loud and proud for just a couple of wonderful women it’s my pleasure to know.
I not too long ago had the opportunity to spend time with both my little sisy and my bestest friend from high school. What a delight and what a couple of characters they are!
My sister is foo-foo with feet. She is all about accessorizing her surroundings and does so with a flamboyant flare extraordinaire. Her sense of humor is infectious and she shares it willingly to those who sometimes need it most.
My dear school chum is most assuredly one of a kind. She has a spirit that can’t be bound or denied. Her light shines brighter than most. Her bawdy sense of humor will make you smile from the inside out and she is wise beyond measure.
Even with the short amount of time we three spent together visiting I watched, listened and learned. They shared freely who and what they are. They shared the power of woman and make me so proud I are one!
My daughter is 30 with 2 children. I'm searching for ways to help her. She is so emotionally abusive to her 8 year old daughter, breaks my heart. I've run out of advice to offer the granddaughter, that's why I'm on here searching for answers. The
