If you were an adult during the early 1980’s good chance you were aware of the TV hit show, Dallas. It became a social and cultural phenomenon. Who shot JR? Shoulder Pads? The ‘Dream” season? Plotting, scheming, revenge every week brought to you stylishly by the cast of Dallas. Born were Dallas parties for the start or end of the season with dressing like your favorite character required!
Now Dallas is back. Bobbie, JR, Sue Ellen in the flesh! So far no shoulder pads but still cowboy hats and lots of drama, revenge, scheming, double crossing, and plotting. I was skeptical at first. Now I am hooked again. Dallas is a great escape. I hope it continues to be over the top and totally unrealistic as it was in the 80’s.
I am watching the fashions closely. So far I have noticed 5”-6” high heels for women and 2”-3” boot heels on men. Draping fabrics for women are looking glamorous. Western shirts and tight jeans tight are looking good on the men!
I am not sure if I am ready yet to plan a Dallas party. I am interested if any one else is swept up in the return of the Dallas? Does it bring up good or bad memories? Do you have any shoulder pads left in your closet?

Dang- missed it yet again- saw week one and wsnt hooked- but interested. My daighters mad me get rid of my shoulder pad out fits- but I did hide a jean jacket and a below the knee dress in the back of my closet….
You got to get into that campy vacant 80′s mind set and enjoy summer TV!
