Regrets? Everybody has them. What you do with them is the big thing. Timeframes are different for everybody.

You know, I realized last night that the song you started this thread with, is the one that my boyfriend’s family chose for his funeral. I guess when I read it, I hadn’t played all the song in my mind, or I blocked it. He died of pancreatic cancer at age 45. It was a heavy duty time. The regret I have with this was that it took me so long to heal from it. Right now I’m in the process of setting all things to rest, learning all that I can from my experiences and going forth with new light of my own making in my heart. It’s a cool place to be, especially since I’m a writer. Everything is material to a writer. Like you and your company you started once you overcame breast cancer, I found my career after another tragedy. Difficult things can make good catalysts.

Hi Vi,
I do love to swim but sharing a pool with all the chemicals and various people kind of grosses me out! This winter when I hurt my back I went to a rehab pool. It helped my back but once I was feeling better I started looking at the green mold and the other folks in the pool and it took some mental and visual blinders to continue!

So you love to swim? It relaxes you, I assume. Are you a great swimmer? Indoors would be far better than out. I assume there are no babies in your life, from what you said. I’d be so afraid someone’s little one would drown. Just think, at least this way you don’t have to clean it.

This year I hope to create inner peace. In the movie Kung Fu Panda the one I relate most to is the Master Shifu.

I wish I could say this is the year I put in the pool but the pool and the pool house may not happen again this year!

I have no idea what even happened to Eddie H. I haven’t seen him for 45 years. Whatever the case, if we want a good life, we need to make peace with our choices and learn from them. I’ve done that. Now I’m making peace with who people turned out to be, all of which came to a head when my mom died a couple of years ago. Mom dying wasn’t the hard part. She was 91, and it was time. But other people in my family, well…. I let go of people who are self-absorbed for one reason or another. One can’t really have relationships with people who are only concerned about themselves.

When we are kids we are learning how to deal with people and situations. It’s a learn as we go. So in the long run if we learn from all that, we can grow into who we want to be on the inside. To me, that’s what’s important. I’m living the life I want to live.
