My Life As A Psychic Hot Conversation

I’ve always been blessed with psychic abilities which I’ve tried to use intelligently. I once went to a palm reader to have a reading. He studied my palms, looked me in the eyes and said, “I think you know that you don’t need to be here. You’re clairvoyant!”

This is how it works for me….I see things in a dream or suddenly I feel something so strongly, it stops me in my tracks. I always share what I am feeling with my husband, so I have a witness.

Through the years, these psychic moments have included the following:

Dreaming that my Mother got very sick on a cruise in Alaska and was being rushed home. She came home the next day.

Dreaming how and where intruders broke into my parent’s house. The police couldn’t figure it out but I did!

Begging my husband to put in an alarm system because I had a feeling our home was going to be broken into. We woke up the next morning at 5 A.M. with a man crouched by our bed with a knife in his hand.

Dreaming about a family member being held hostage in Mexico and giving a description of the two robbers.. I was right about every detail but the color of one of the robber’s bandannas.

The list goes on and on…

Normally, I have these dreams or thoughts about people I care about but in the past few years, it’s also been happening with strangers.

A while back, my husband and I were in a restaurant and I started picking up vibes about our food server. After I paid for the meal, I asked her if she would like a free reading. Since her station had emptied out, she immediately agreed. I told our food server that I was picking up negative thoughts about the guy she was dating . I told her that I knew she was slacking off in college and even thinking of giving up her future plans because of her involvement with him. I said to her, “You have a successful future in sales. I see you on the road, traveling and making lots of money. This guy is totally wrong for you but I think you know that already!” She looked at me with eyes so wide, I thought they would pop out of their sockets. “Oh my gosh, you are SO right”she said. “I want to go into pharmaceutical sales and my boyfriend wants me to quit college and spend more time catering to him.” She ran into the kitchen and I could hear her telling the staff what happened. I made a quick exit before they could all come out for readings.

The strangest thing that EVER happened was the day I was loading the washing machine and suddenly had a blood vessel break in my leg spurting out blood everywhere. Later that day, I found out that my youngest son, away at college, had severely sliced his hand while moving a mirror at the exact moment my leg started bleeding profusely. The doctor had no explanation for why the blood vessel in my leg broke.

As much as I appreciate my gift, I doubt I’ll be promoting my psychic services anytime soon UNLESS the economy stays in a funk. Then I may have to set up shop somewhere. After all…A girl’s got to eat!

A psychic can’t clear your mind of all your issues but sometimes they can pick up something that might help. In my case, most visions come to me in dreams which I try to interpret to help people.

I would help any VN sister but unfortunately, I am not picking up any thoughts on your mobile home. I will tell you that I have had my beautiful (fairly priced) mountain home on the market for over a year. I keep on having a dream about it. In the dream I see a tall woman holding a young boy’s hand walking through all the rooms and smiling. p.s. I hope she shows up soon!!

    Wow! I’m very impressed.

I’ve had a few readings done, most recently had two in the same day by two different people. They ended up telling me some pretty interesting stuff, very similar to one another. Primarily that I was too good for the job I was in and needed to strike out on my own. A few months later I did just that, but only because my department was dissolved and I was laid off. :o )

I’m open to hearing anything from you any time … psychic or otherwise. I love your posts! (And checked out your website, too.)

Do you remember my comment to you about what a young Grandma you appeared to be. Well, here’s the story behind that comment. I was picking up a feeling about what a amazingly nurturing woman you are (this was before I even read all your blogs about you and Bubby) but for some reason, I expected you to be much older. What I was picking up was…You are an “old soul” in the sense that you stepped into the Grandma role as if you had been doing it all your life. (Another life perhaps?) Tell Bubby he is going to have lots of (as my Mom used to say) FUNSIES with you.

I just saw this response. WOW! I find that amazing because one of my sisters (of four sisters) would introduce me to people as the “Old Soul” of the family. I appreciate the comment. And I’m glad my old soul doesn’t contribute to my quickly emerging wrinkles.

        Thanks, Debi!

Debi, this is fascinating. You have a gift.

The only time I’ve ever mentioned a psychic hit of mine to anyone was right before Princess Diana’s death. I saw it clearly, but I saw it as suicide. I told my husband who thought I was nuts. Until it happened.

I’m glad you told your husband. I have found that in order to be taken seriously, I have to share my “visions” with a witness…in my case my husband. Here is one incident I did not share in the above story. One night about 2 months after my Mother passed away, I started talking in my sleep. My husband is very used to me doing this… this but this time it was different. He sat up and started writing down what I was saying bacause it was my Mother’s voice coming out of MY mouth…She was telling me not to worry that about her anymore . She was at peace. (She had been very ill for the decade before she died.) What is interesting about this is that in the Jewish religion , it is believed that the soul floats around for a year after death. The next morning my husband read me everything she said through me.

I find all this fascinating!  The No Book Club I belong to is having a clairvoyant come to our meeting on Wednesday & I’m excited about it.

I have a question for you, Debi.  I have had 3 different psychics tell me that my middle child is psychic, but it comes so natural to him that he thinks everyone ‘sees’ the same way he does. The first psychic told me this when he was only 4 yrs old. He is now 26 & so quiet & easy going, he just shrugs it off & doesn’t view it as a gift!  Is there a way of him honing into this to get more specific (better?) at it?  If he might just once tell a witness like you state, maybe he’d decide to take it more seriously.

I am sure your son is very aware that he has this ability to “see” things but for his own reasons, he has chosen not to go “public” with it. The good news…He will use his gift many times during his life and it will benefit him greatly. If he picks up something about you or another family member, he will share it with you.

Excellent blog and responses.  I’ve had my times with psychic readers. There was a lovely season with one psychic who drew all my spirit guides for me and gave me messages from them.  As I said, it was only a season. I haven’t seen her in years, but I’ve never forgotten the lessons from that season of my life. It was a precious time.

I haven’t felt a longing to “get read” in sometime. I think it is because I try to be very open to the messages around me and try to be responsive to them.  So, if Dr. She every pops into your head, feel free to let me know.  In the meantime…enjoy and embrace your gift…and thanks for sharing.

You are very gifted, but then again, you already know this. I’ve been to a few psychics. The one I went to many years ago, was spot on, and believe me, I was so skeptical.

As you know, not all psychics are equal. As in all people, some use their gifts wisely, as you do, while others, misuse, or even scam the whole thing.

My question is, how can a person decide if a psychic is a good one or not?  I’ve always thought that if the opportunity presented itself, I would just rely  on my intuition. But I must admit, I’m curious as to how people choose the right psychic for themselves.  Any notes of wisdom?

Intuition is a powerful tool! Think about when you meet someone and you just feel the chemistry with that person or you go to a Dr. and from the moment you walk in, you feel like you made a poor choice because there is no “connection”…It is exactly like that with a psychic. There will either that “connection” or there will not…Trust your intuition and most importantly, always remember that a credible psychic will offer their “insight” not tell you what to do!

    Hmmmm…

Just now, while I was reading these posts about being psychic, my daughter (age 14), who is sitting across the room from me, asked “Are psychics real?!?” She could not have known what I was reading and thinking about. I was listening to you all with an open mind…feeling, yeah, some people probably ARE more in touch than others and can pick up on energy & thoughts. When she blurted this out, I thought maybe my little red-headed Abby girl is a pyschic, too!

I would love to know where my job search is going!

      • I don’t think you know exactly what you want to do even though you have talent in many areas. I think you are going through a trnasitional stage of your life…I am not sure that right now is the best time to jump into something brand new…Timing will be everything with you. p.s Abby is very perceptive. You’re blessed to have her as your daughter!

You are correct, Miss Debi. I DON’T know exactly what I want to do. I have a lot of interests & talents, but am not a master at any of them, except I do like teaching & facilitating. I need to turn this over to the God of my understanding to figure out. And, be patient. Timing IS everything.

Thank you. Abby is a very sweet girl, who is going through a transition of her own.

This is certainly a time of a lot of transitions – from one aspect of our lives to another.  As 2012 approaches it will get to be stronger and stronger energies of change.  I know for myself it is doing a job of change at all levels. Do you pick up any advice?

    God bless, J

We have become flooded with technology which can be as blessing and a curse…So many of the answers we are searching for can be found if we are willing to “unplug everything” once in a while and listen to our “inner voice”.

    Hi Debi!

Ive always been suspect that perhaps we all have the potential to be psychic. Ive often felt that perhaps part of the brain we have not yet developed would give each of us that ability but some have managed or been blessed with the ability now ..much as someone who has an ability to sing.  I have seen psychics in the past..its been many years..but never met with one who was spot on..and at the time I was asking particular questions. Unfortunately they missed…but that was ok.  I think you are very very fortunate to have such a gift and the fact you are sharing so freely with VN readers is a blessing. Kudos to you!!

my mother had this “gift” but it became a curse.  At times the vibes were so strong and specially when it was bad news, how did she tell a person?  She did at first but quickly found out it was not a good idea.  So when i tell you it was a curse, i mean it.

What I keep on feeling is a lot of concern that Americans do not really understand what is happening. That scares me. I think we were so desperate for change that we chose a young, dynamic, very bright man to lead us, wanting to believe that he would lead us into greener pastures. If ever there was a time for Americans to find their “voices”..it is right now!
