Dear VN Sisters,
I haven’t disappeared. I’m battling vertigo again and this time it refuses to go away! It’s times like this that I get angry about the attack that ruined my vision and led to these debilitating bouts of vertigo. I’ve tried very hard these past three years to move on and concentrate on the blessings in my life
But sometimes even that doesn’t work! When I can’t keep down food or function normally (work, chores, my writing etc..) because I can’t stop the room from spinning around, I get frustrated. Very frustrated!!
So please bear with me. I will be back soon with more human interest stories. Thanks for understanding.

Oh I’m sorry. It sounds dreadful. Does it make you feel sick to your stomach? I don’t know much about it. Is there treatment?
It is very hard to keep down food. The room is always spinning. These bouts come and go since the attack. There are treatments out there but nothing has worked so far for me. Thanks for your concern.
Oh Debi, I’m SO sorry! My change-in-weather migraines are hard enough to deal with every spring and fall – I can’t imagine being literally out of commission day after day and not knowing when it’ll quit. I wish a doctor could help you – I have no doubt you’ve tried to find that help from many of them.
Hugs to you from me, Duffy
P.S. I just followed your link and read about the attack by the bathroom attendant who deliberately sprayed chemicals in your eyes. I have tons of chemical allergies. I’m absolutely in shock. I’m also appalled that no doctors will testify on your behalf. I need to go spit a bad taste out of my mouth now.
My toughest moment was when I realized that not one Dr. cared enough to testify on my behalf! p.s. They expect to be paid a considerable sum of money for their testimony. Without their testimony, I received nothing for medical bills, pain and suffering.
Debi, I am so sorry about what you are going through. I haven’t been on VN that much lately and have missed your posting by a few days. However, it’s never too late… to send good wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery. I hope you are feeling better soon.
Jo
Thinking of you and hoping that you’ll feel better soon.
Thank-you!
Debi: The post about your harrowing attack is heartbreaking and I appreciate the courage you have shown in seeking accountability from those who have caused such devastation. Please know that with so many others here, I send you the sincerest wishes for your recovery.
I appreciate your kind words!
Debi: We’re rootin’ for this to pass. We’ve missed you.
Thanks!!
I live in Canada and very recently ( in the last couple of months) I remember this doctor doing something very simple to patients with vertigo that was apparently very effective. I remember it because I have seen a friend who had a bout with vertigo and frankly I found it scary to see her like that. Do you want me to try and find out what it is? I remember that was non invasive and simple to do and the results were excellent.

I remember that was non invasive and simple to do and the results were excellent. I actually looked up. The name of the doctor is dr. Mat Bronwich. Look up CTV.CA, vertigo, his name. He has developed an I phone to deal with vertigo. It is cheap too. Hope this helps!
I will look into this. Thanks!
So very sorry to hear this. I’ll be praying a quick recovery. My husband suffered vertigo a few years back. It was terrible. All he could do was sit very still in a chair. Sometimes he had to crawl to the bathroom. My deepest wishes. I’m sure it’s even difficult to think steady. It’s not a cure, but think about your breath, in and out, all of us who are breathing are sending you healthy and steady breaths. So exhale the dizzy, inhale our blessings.
Peace and love,
Alexsondra
I am inhaling your blessings…Thanks!!
Wishing you all the best, Debi, hang in there! The procedure for vertigo mentioned in one of the responses is actually a neck adjustment that realigns the crystals in the inner ear. It can be done by physical therapists or ENT docs who are up-to-date on new procedures. Obviously it only works if that’s the reason for your vertigo. It can also be caused by viruses. A good friend of mine is getting over vertigo caused by a virus and does take time. Whatever the reason, I’ll be praying for you.
I am looking into this procedure. A friend sent me a youtube video of it being done. Thank-you for your prayers.
Oh, that is no fun at all. A miserable, unpredictable condition. Hoping you feel better soon -and your glass fills up and overflows!
Thank-you so much!!
Hi Debi,
Wow. I can’t even begin to imagine how this has changed your life. Your frustration must be over the top!
Prayers for you.
I appreciate your prayers. Thanks!
Debi, I am soo sorry to hear of this. Our eyes a window to the world of people, color and animals. Sorry you can not sue the person or company they work for. America shame on us, it’s just not our turn yet! May the G_D who created our bodies be with you at this time of need…heart felt hope…TRACK
Thanks Track!
Hi, Debi
I’m sorry to hear about your recent trouble, as well as the cause of it all! When I was 21 and a new mother, a virus left me with vertigo for more than 10 years. I always felt lightheaded, as if my head were not firmly attached to my body. I didn’t suffer the way you are now, though. This was 47 years ago and I’m sure there are better ways of treating it these days. Take heart and this too shall pass. Hugs to you.
Thanks for the hugs!
Debi…when I saw your post my “half filled” glass is feeling “half empty” it caught my eye because that’s the way I’ve been feeling for a long while. I’m sooo sorry for what you’re going through and my prayers are with you for this to pass. I’ve been dealing with planter fasciitis pain in both feet which seems to not want to turn me loose. You can always find someone else with something even more challenging like yourself. I’m trying to remember what I said in my “postcard to my younger self”which is to “Learn to dance in the rain.” I, like you, am trying to concentrate on my many blessings from God. Prayers will be ongoing!
Lord, I hope this resolves for you soon. I have experienced vertigo a few times, very briefly. Not fun.
