This morning I read that Donna Summer had passed away after battling cancer.
Quickly finding this song online, I got up from my desk and started to dance.
Two hours later and I’m still dancing.
Life is too short NOT to dance.
That’s all I really have to say…
Because the media will tell you all about Donna Summer and what she meant to our generation.
I’m just here to tell you to get up off your tuchas and start dancing….in the office…in the street…at home.
Life is too short NOT to dance.

The world would be a better place if more people danced because they wanted to instead of waiting to be asked, take lessons, go to a club. Get up and dance, it does a soul good.
I agree!
I totally agree. My campanion or shall I say “boyfriend, lol go dancing at least 3 times a week. Dancing makes us feel young and it’s great excercise.
What FUN!!
And sing!
I am known at work for breaking into song (grin) Hey it’s a very social place. I have a musical background as well so I am fairly confident I won’t break any ear drums HEH.
Yesterday was definitely a Donna day. We were all talking about our favorite Summer’s songs, singing them for a few bars and that lead to some wonderful disco steps down memory lane. At one point we got a bit quiet, each one of us seemed to be lost in a personal moment. Quite touching.
She was an amazing spirit in the dance of life.
I love to sing, too! It makes me happy!
Donna Sommer reminds us of how much we loved to dance. We danced to her songs in Disco Clubs for hours at a time. She is well remembered for bringing out the rhythm of soul of every one. Not only is dance good for the heart and soul, it’s good for waking up the spirit. I am often at home alone when I break out into a disco dance. Thank You Donna for wonderful memories and fantastic tunes to rock to.
Nice! Thanks for sharing!
Short and sweet. Yes, dance.
Maybe one day we can all meet and dance together! What FUN that would be!
When I waa a little girl, my Mother called me “the Barefoot Contessa” because I loved to dance so much; on the furniture, the tables, everywhere!
Fast forward, to age 69, and I still LOVE TO DANCE!! It’s in my Blood. I have two sons who are Musicians, and we all love Music and Dance!!
One of my prayers, is that God allows me to be able to Dance, Dance, Dance until I die…..It makes me feel sooo alive!!
God Bless Donna Summer! What Wonderful Music!! What Wonderful memories!!!
You sound like someone I would like to know! p.s. I hope you keep on dancing for many many many more years!
