I have wondered at times what the Ten Commandments would have looked like if Moses had run them through the US Congress first.

This actually made me giggle. I’m sure that somewhere, someone has taken the time to write up what it might look like. Interesting thought.
A bit of laughter out of me just at the thought of Moses standing before Congress asking for their opinion. Thanks for the laughter…Sharon Vinay/Author http://www.sharonvinay.com
I can assure you he wouldn’t have gotten all ten of them on one piece of stone, well, maybe if the stone was Mount Rushmore!
Mount Rushmore might not be big enough! Love the post.
Thanks a lot. Just snorted tea through my nose.
What fun it would be for a group of us to sit around and draft our ideas of what this could look like…can you even imagine the laughs we’d have?
LOL
I was never very good at the government babble. I can do psychobabble. We would have more fun than be productive I’m sure.
I wonder how many of us would get up close and personal with lightning if we all got together to try this. LOL
The one about false gods (can’t remember the exact working) would be unconstitutional and the coverting of thy neighbor’s wife would disqualify about over half of congress from voting because of a conflict of interest.
maybe more then 1/2 – but then there would need to be a commission appointed to determine the exact definition of who is considered a neighbor and what’s the definition of a wife. I was a policy wonk for many years – defining these terms could take pages and pages.
And how about bearing false witness?
yes, I forgot about that one, I think about 100 per cent would be disqualified.
In the rewrite for the law of the land, they would add exceptions. And don’t forget the pork. I’m sure there would be an amendment to let them use pork.
Good one!
Then, that would be another huge insult to Moses & the Jewish people since they really don’t like pork at all. … I know it was pretty bad LOL hahaha
