Thanksgiving Gratitude Post 3 of 3 – a gratitude prayer

If you read my Thanksgiving Gratitude Post one and two, you know I am grateful for antidepressants and being in recovery. :)

Being in recovery prompted me to write this gratitude prayer several years ago. I have found it passes the test of time. Today, I share it with all of you, my sisters in Vibrancy!

Dear God,

Thank you for my relationship with you, my life and my health, my family, friends and freedom, my home and my job.

Thank you for the ability to love and be loved, to laugh and to serve.

Please help me keep my thoughts and actions in line with these priorities each day.

 Love,

Ellen

PS: When I don’t have a job, I substitute “and my God-given talents”. It works for me!

 What’s your favorite gratitude prayer?
