SALT, SUGAR, PEPPER, OR COMBINATION OF THREE? Hot Conversation

WHAT “PERSONALITY SISTER” ARE YOU ON VN ?

SUGAR

SALT

PEPPER (red , Black or white)

Are you a combination of which ones?

We are getting to know one another and sometime it gets a little hot.

It does make it interesting I like the majority of the personalities.

We sometimes have a different opinion of who we are than other people see us.

I have learned to see myself in the some of the things I see that I don’t like in others.

I hope we sometimes go back and read our own opinions and think would I like to be called out in that way on a thread? Or does this represent my culture in a way that I want the VN sisters to get to know us?

Yes, we sometimes have to “thicken our skin” in order to learn who we are through dialog…

One sister said ‘Get a cup” and sometimes we do need to shield ourselves or communicate with whom you we feel comfortable with, that’s one of the great things about this Site!!

So ladies, lets continue to be who we are and love who we can get to know.

Good afternoon to you Track, I  like the balance of the combination…..sometimes one out weights the other, and I have to get my perspective back in order.

I really have to think about this one, fayetteSIPP, I love to cook and I love to eat.  I don’t think it can be boiled down to just the seasonings-I’m savory as opposed to sweet-(you might be able to tell that from my posts-LOL)  I don’t use a lot of sugar in my cooking or my demeanor, but I’m a salt and pepper- cayenne, black and white -kind of sister.  I’d describe myself as a huevos rancheros breakfast and a coq au vin dinner.  Not a lot of inherent culture within the white world I was raised.  I guess I’m all over the map-searching for what was missing.  Sometimes I wear my cup, sometimes I don’t.

The sentence in your post that really resonates with me:

“So ladies, lets continue to be who we are and love who we can get to know.”

    Perfect.

Some where my original post to thank you for yours was lost, I like your assessment ….I always say everything I have lived through is for a reason and I can pull back on any experience that I may need to deal with certain situations …some may be salty. sweet, or hot… a I get more in-tune with my inner spirit  i don’t let people not agree with me upset me or bring me their level of distrust or insecurity.
