You know, I’ve laughed about it a million times since, but I found it really disturbing when Pluto’s planethood was taken away. My son found a bumper sticker for me that I actually have on my office door that’s like, “Oh please let Pluto be a planet!” Because it is one of those things you grow up believing and then, all of a sudden, the proof is taken away.
I think that’s how we often feel at various stages of life. You look back at who you were at this point and what you believed and what you thought – only to wake up and see your life from a very different perspective.
