Well PeggyAnn, I totally believe in the paranormal. I believe in Angels as well. I believe I have been protected more than once by my Guardian Angel (which I think we all have). But even early this morning, I truly believe I had been visited by something paranormal and not so friendly. I think it resides in my attic and just recently has come down to my bedroom.  Very scary. My husband thinks I am just dreaming, since he has to shake me to stop yelling and screaming. My friends think I have a vivid imagination. What experiences, if any, have you had? I would certainly be interested in hearing from you.

Hi. We bought a home in the Pocono’s 5 yrs ago and so much was going on the first month we moved it that we started logging it. The second night there my 10 yr old came into our room in the middle of the night to tell us that there was a man in her room. With our hearts in our chests, we were there in seconds but nothing. She described him to us and said that he was looking at the things on her dresser. We bought the home from a widowed woman who remained in the house for over 20 years after her husband died. I was talking about it at work and a girl stepped forward and told me that she knew the previous owners and had worked with the man years before. I described him to her as my daughter relayed and she said that was a good description of him.

While the activity has died down after 5 yrs, we still have unexplained incidents, usually in the kitchen area where the widow sat everyday and watched t.v.-our dog will stand there and bark into the air as if someone were in front of him.

I believe that he stayed behind (he died young and left a family) and when she moved (in with a son) he went a little crazy. There was screaming in the middle of the night that woke me to a sitting position, the hallway fire alarm was going off at night (no batteries in it), I would walk through areas where it smelled like someone just had a cigarette (heavy smokers)…

I didn’t know what to do. I ended up sitting in the kitchen and (while feeling a little nuts) had a talk with him about where his wife is and what happened. I ended by telling him he was welcome with us, but I didn’t want him upsetting my little girl, We have a rocking chair in the living room that we don’t sit it. We designated this as “his” and presented it to him. We’ve had the local chapter of parapsychologist (para) offer to come in , but as we are only the second owners of the house, we are pretty sure of who it is and he’s not vicious…just sometimes a bit of a surprise…

So that is my experience with the paranormal…I am (or was) a major sceptic…I still don’t 100% believe others when I hear their experiences, because I can barely believe that this exists…even being faced with it…I guess because it is so hard to believe that which we can’t see…I keep reminding myself that we can’t see the wind, but it’s there….

Children are natural conduits to spirit.  And that is why he was able to manifest so easily in your home.

While he is benevolent and harmless to your family, we might remember that all of life is progressive.  He may have been told that he is to wait for his widow to follow him.  And this idea can serve to make him ‘stuck’ on the earth rather than go into the light.

You did a brilliant thing for someone who doesn’t understand spirit – you communicated.  That is often just what they need – to understand they are in spirit form now.  It might be important to take the next step and talk him into the light so that he can be prepared to meet his widow in the fullness of time.  There are rituals to accomplish this, along with clearing your home of spirit entities, instead of welcoming a ghost.

      God bless, J

First, let me say I have Never doubted the existence of spirits, and the belief that spirits present to their dying friends and family.  Nurses, and caregivers have documented that patients in a passive state, are suddenly found sitting up talking to invisable ‘visitors’.  Why would it be so important to take the next step and talk the spirit into the light?  I feel a great deal of comfort in hearing the “noises” (posted two weeks ago) and feeling my husband is still looking over me.

Occasionally, there has been a “silence” of a few days, usually three in a row, but sometimes more.  I started documenting these times, and the first documented time of three days, I learned weeks later, that my uncle had passed over in a nursing home, at 95 y/o, on the exact first day of “silence.”  On another longer occasion of “silence”,  after several days, I had a vivid dream that someone whose name started with ‘D’ had passed.  Several hours after I awakened, I received a call that my deceased husband’s nephew had passed.  (Being several states away, I didn’t know ‘D’ had been taken to hospice.) Within an hour after the burial, my “spirit noise” was back.

I recently bought some books  trying to learn what was happening here, and for anyone in doubt read,  ‘MESSAGES – Evidence For Life After Death.’   The Author, George Dalzell, is also a therapist who had counseled people claiming to hear voices.  Google him, he is real.

Now we say we know there are angels around us.  Are these spirits not our angels, that pick us up when we’re down, give the encouragement to go on, not give up?  Also, it would seem they can travel quite quickly, why not tell the man to move to the son’s house and be of comfort to his wife there?  I talk to my ‘spirit’  frequently, as do other family members that hear it while visiting.  Having had to tell my husband it was time to go, I would be alright…but please give me a sign he was alright…why should I now send him into the light when that “noise”  brings such comfort?

OH ! And let me not forget…the WARNINGS.  One night, after I had gotten in bed, that little machine started going off time after time, and gave me the feeling I had forgotten to do something.  I finally got out of bed, and double checked did I turn off everything, reset the thermostat to night temp, lock all doors………Sure enough I had not locked an outside door !  I returned to bed, and heard ‘one little noise’.         (Goodnight , or maybe even, I love you?  I think so !)        Am I a believer ?….you better believe it !     NO ONE YET HAS CALLED ME CRAZY !

I did not mean to sound mysterious or hidden about rituals and ‘stuck’ spirit.  The fact is each case is different.  There are experts who do house cleanings for a living and charge large fees.

IME the first step is to identify the source of the energy used to manifest the spirit in a home or building.  Where there are children, it is a common occurence as they are open naturally to spirit realms.

We are dealing wtih the spirit realms and those that have left the physical body.  As there are spheres in the afterlife, just as there are various levels of understanding on the earth plane, it is important to know what you are dealing with before either welcoming them into your home or fooling around with the energies.

Just as you would not welcome a theif into your home, you would not want to welcome a spirit who was there for no good.

Of course, a lot of spirit input is about our own loved ones.  But when it is not, it can not only be disruptive it can be abusive.  They can drain physical energy from the source that is supplying the energy for the manifestation.

As you can see there is a lot to think about with regard to rituals of spirit energies.  It is called rescue work in Spiritualism and not all will even participate in working on and with ‘stuck’ spirit.

All life is progressive.  Look around on the earth plane.  We progress in body from infant to adult, with the many stages in between.  We educate ourselves and go from lack of knowledge to expert in our own field.  As below, so above.

The afterlife is just as progressive.  There are spheres of spirituality.  What we have gained through our experiences on the earth plane, places us where we are suited to occupy on our progression to spirit realms, following the death of the physical body.  We then begin our journey in spiritual education in earnest.

I do not call you crazy – I have seen too much spirit input.  But I do call you misguided in your welcoming of all ‘noises’.  Only the disruptive will make disturbance of your peace.

        God bless, J

Since neither you or I have been to the other side and back to bring absolute knowledge of the spirit world to the table,  I suppose one, me for instance, could say you are also misguided.  There has been no disturbance, only comfort.

I choose to believe what I feel comfortable with, and since I have not paid anyone to create these comforting noises, neither will I pay anyone to make them go away.  I have told this spirit many times, that while it was comforting, I understood if it needed to go forward, and I would be OK with that.

How does one become “expert” in a field where no one has been to learn?  That’s my question, and I’m sticking to it !

Actually mediumship is a very much proven source of spirit connection and communication.  The university studies of those connecting spirit are a matter of public record.

The advent of Spiritualism was conducted as a science.  The many people of science with reputations in their earth life who followed the spirit connection lists like a whos who of pioneers of scientific studies.

As a medium I have been to the place you feel is unreachable.  My record stands for itself in helping those ‘stuck’ to move into the light.  Keeping anyone from their own progression is not good.  But then we all have our own Karma to bear.

The question of money merely arose as an explanation for the the fact it is real.  As a Spiritualist and a Medium I know this to be true.

Hi…it’s always nice to meet a neighbor…I’m up here in Mt Pcono on this incredibly windy and cold winter day…

My daughter woke up on New Year’s day and said that she was dozed off and woke up talking to someone in the dark. She thought it was me and the figure stood…she said it just disappeared but it was too dark to see. She is used to the crazy things…sometimes they upset me when I’m caught off guard. I was in the shower, nobody home, and my dog was barking like crazy (the way they do at a stranger) I got out of the shower and he was had his back to me. I couldn’t see around the fridge but I thought someone was in the house. I walked to a clear view of the backdoor and there was nothing there…the dog turned around and ran from the room…

We’re used to it and it’s not as bad as some of the stories that I’ve heard where people were driven from their homes. The story was relayed to his wife and she said, oh dont worry, he’s harmless”…they were both in the early-days Pocono entertainment-resort business. Both at the old Stricklands…My friend Sue worked their with them both. He was an entertainment director and she was a bartender in the area in the early days…and now he’s still here.

It’s a strange world…have a wonderful day and keep warm!

There is a whole world of Spiritualism to explore.  Do not say ‘expert’ and ‘field where no one has been’ without a thorough study in the spirit realms.

You are on a thread where no one has actually studied the spirit realms.  I am seen here as some form of expert which is not correct.  There are many more experienced than myself.

But I have some expertise in house clearings to offer.  And the fact of progressive life is just witnessed in all things – why argue the obvious?

This is my last comment on this subject.  I believe “out of the mouth of babes”.  Why would I question a five yr. old that says, “I talked to pawpaw?”   I ‘feel’ a friendly comforting presence.  I believe the spirits among us are our guardian angels, and have in fact had warnings, and avoided harm.  THERE IS NO WAY I will PAY to get rid of something causing no harm, but a great deal of comfort !  Plain and simple…your obvious is NOT obvious to me…I don’t watch those TV shows I hear about because they are designed to attract an audience, not teach a truth.  I hear MANY women here, and men and women in real life, that believe as I do, including nurses and doctors, and even Ministers of faith.  I have talked aloud, and told my spirit if he needed to go on, I understood, and would be OKAY, just the same as I told him when he needed to leave his wasted body.  I will not be back to this thread so save your breath, and let those of us that feel comfort with our spirits, enjoy the experience, and think about how we can comfort our loved ones after we pass.  Quite honestly, I am sorry to have to say this, but I get a bad feeling when someone engages in touting their business on line, but wants to discuss it ”elsewhere.”   May God Bless You and have mercy on your soul.

I was totally going to ignore this vitriol.  But I would like to make one thing perfectly clear for anyone having a problem with spirit entities – I do not make a business of clearing houses.  The reason for offline comments is because these are personal experiences and not for public consumption.  I am sorry for anyone who can not see the comfort in spirit as I do.

Spirit entities are not our house pets.  They are progressive human beings that need a little help into the light of progress.  As all life is progress, why would we want to see someone ‘stuck’ in the same old place for so long?

to spiritalk from mclaire12-last night while going through my computer photos mostly pictures of a decorating project or the terrace garden and a very few friends i came across a “new ” photo apparently taken with my power shot  of a figure in a chair where i sit. The whole thing was black -very black and taken behind a chair in an adjoining room. very few people have ever used my power shot. Only my assistant and housekeeper would even know where the power shot is. And the photo was taken long before my recent remodeling. No explanation. I think it is an entity i have thought something was here for a longtime. I think it came for a blessing. Why??

I am an Ordained Minister in Spiritualism (the science, philosophy, religion with a lifestyle in spirit).  I am an active medium councelling others, teaching the unfoldment of the talents of the individual and developing mediums for work in Spiritualism.

An old mystic, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin once said:  “We are not a human being having a spiritual experience.  We are a spiritual being having a human experience.”

The paranormal groups tend to be more into the measurement of the experience of hauntings (spirits left in a physical/material environment).  The rescue mediums (there is a TV show by that name with some interesting mediums at work) tend to come under that catagory.  But there is also so much more to the unseen world.

This shows that as body, mind, spirit (in the now) we have the continuity of spirit following death of the body and continue into spirit realms.  It is about energy levels.  If we believe in the continuity of the soul into another realm, it is not a stretch to believe they would communicate when possible.  This is called mediumship and is possible and available.

It’s nice to actually know someone who is in this field.  I’ve watched Sylvia Brown on Montel Williams and was always fascinated.  Some say she is a fraud . . . whatever!!  Is there such a thing as mediums or psychic readers being wrong?  Or is it the mundane energy vibration of some people that just don’t make a connection of information?  (did you understand that question?)  Tell me more.

No human being is perfect – that includes psychics and mediums.  It is about the abilities to read and understand the energies of life.  And that is a big job.

Many people open themselves and say ‘I have arrived’ – these would be the ones to shy away from – there is no arrival – only the journey of life.  Ethics would be a good course to teach people when doing psychic work.

No person can attune to everyone.  We all vibrate at an energy level.  That is what that personal chemistry is all about.  Some people you are drawn to like a long lost friend and others you can hardly have them in your space.  It is not about wrong doing on anyone’s part – merely the draw of energies.

There is a client for every psychic and a psychic for every client.  If someone is unable to attune to you personally, find someone who can.  That is what you are seeing with those, like Sylvia Browne, who demonstrate.  And she certainly puts herself out there in a public way.

If I haven’t answered your question, please try again.

        God bless, J

        “Can you hear me now?”

Sylvia, John Edwards, Van Prague, etc. just have more bars then the rest of us. These are legitimate abilities, the woman who had the commercial with an exaggerated Jamaican accent, would have a commercial every few hours on several stations, and she at the end would implore “Call me now” was charged with fraud because no way could she handle the volume of people who sought her services, and was using phone rooms full of  “false  prophets”  to answer the calls, trained to fake the accent and the gift.

I’ve been trying to post something all morning not knowing how to start, so this is my segway. I’ve been reading everything about everything religious, spiritual, and accurate from history for many years.  I started to find random references,  and clues from unrelated sources that pointed out the 2012 being the end of the world…My friends thought I was nuts.

Because I had pieced things together way before the hype, and debate started in earnest a few short years ago, I really know something is going to take place.  It will not be the end of the world, ‘though Psychic  predictions from all over the world over hundreds of years point out something is taking place December 21 2012.

The mayan calendar is a strong point for me because it was accurate as far as leap years and leap seconds that we adjust every four years for with the atomic clock.  I wonder that this calendar lasted hundreds of years longer then calendar makers entire culture.

Long story short I think 2012 will be very interesting. I don’t know what, but something is going to happen.  It will not be the end of the world and mankind, because my favorite Seer of all time is “The Sleeping Prophet” Edgar Cayce, who predicted and channeled information while in a meditative state.

You can’t turn a blind eye to all that he did, from medical breakthroughs, to proving to thousands who went to him he was no fraud. Edgar Cayce did thousands of readings for several years and was unaware of the readings content until transcripts of a reading were read to him afterwards.

On one rare occasion Cayce gave a reading that pertained to him, and well, all of us.

He said his next incarnation would be in 2025, and he saw himself standing at the shore of the Pacific Ocean, in the State now known as Nebraska.

Ok that is enough, so sorry I’m long winded, as far as I know I only have about 36 months to enjoy this wonderful gift Vibrant Nation has given to all of us.

Cayce, like many prophets before him (I am thinking Nostradamus here) brought forth messages that fit their current thinking patterns.  And we must realize that consciousness is rising.  And that is the whole pattern for 2012.

The Aquarian Age (astrology) has shown the changes from the Picean Age – we are moving from an emotional age into a spiritual age.  With these changes and the rising of our consciousness there is bound to be a backlash of energy.

What it will bring is yet to be seen and I predict a continuity of life but perhaps redesigned from material focus to spiritual focus.  We will wake up in Dec. 2012 and find the world no longer wants all the material wealth which has not served us well anyway.

Change does not occur in chaos and confusion.  Nor is it sudden and ‘right now’.  Change occurs over time and using the lessons we have been receiving for centuries.  Seeking spirituality will re-design all lives into harmony with one another.  Perhaps we can now walk away from war?  Perhaps we can build our economies on peace solutions?

        God bless, J

I believe you are correct.  I’m not a psychic, but because of my profession (retired psychotherapist) I keep getting this nudge to go back into counseling because there is such a need.  I’ve had a problem with traditional psychology so I’ve ventured into the new age type thinking and strongly believe that we (this world as we know it) are in for some big changes.  But I don’t feel we can just wait for it to happen.  I think we must be part of the change, promote it, and do what we can.  So I’ve become a certified life coach also because it’s less threatening to people so I can do my part to bring about a positive change.

There are frauds and there are the “real thing”.  I believe Sylvia Brown is a fraud – I have watched her many times, and never has she ever said anything specific to anyone.  It’s always generalized information, and I love to watch her trip over her tongue when she tries to explain away something that she was wrong about.

John Edwards is the “real thing” .  He is so specific, it’s scary.  He knows things that he couldn’t POSSIBLY know about people that are strangers to him.

Its not nice to put people down for what they do.  Sylvia Browne has her clients just as John Edwards has his clients.  I wouldn’t pay the price they ask – but that is just me.

I have seen Sylvia Browne at work on TV but we must remember all television work is about the entertainment value.  What is real?

John Edwards has never delivered a message without asking a lot of questions.  As a matter of interest, I met someone on a message board that attended his TV show and there was a prompt man who came on and told everyone they must say yes not matter what.

It is very important to check people out for yourself.  I am a firm believer in shopping around for a psychic like any other councellor you may visit.  Those in the media have not really done much but set up a controversy but some people think they have helped the psychic world.  Go figure!

I actually believe the opposite.  I have read a little about Sylvia Browne’s life and listed to a 7 CD set she put out around 2006 that impressed me.  I also trust, like and respect Montel Williams and his belief is good enough for me.

I seem to recall reading that John Edwards had been found to be a fake.  Whether or not that is the case he never struck me as genuine. Anyone who puts himself on his own tv show is suspicious to me.

My mother and grandnother had psychic abilities and so supposedly do I.  I am uncomfortable with it but I’ve seen it at work first hand with others.

Not one person will be 100% correct in every reading.  I believe that a reading is what is given to the psychic.  If it is for our future we are all given a free will.  Nothing they say is written in stone.  You can change what you hear that you don’t want to have happen.  Take it as a warning, if you will, and not go down the wrong path for yourself.  I hope that makes sense.  I have read several Sylvia Browne’s books, and I think all of Doreen Virtue’s. Also some of John Edwards and James Von Praugh.  I was in the audience of James Von Prague in Las Vegas, NV .  He asked what he had put in the box he held, no one answered it directly but I answered with what he had started to put in the box but he had changed his mind and put another object in.  He seems to be a very personable person and I really enjoyed his appearance.

There are a spate of books and authors on what I will call self-help.  If you follow their spirituality it improves your life.  Consider…Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, Ester Hicks/Abraham, Marianne Williamson, Louise Hay, et al for a smattering of information.  Some you will resonate with and others will not seem real.

Is it any different with the demonstrations you see with psychics?  There is a compatibility factor in who you read, or have a reading by.  Some of these people get caught up in the money factor and lose all sight of any help to anyone but their own pocket book.  It is evident in their work.

I have noted a lot of repeatability with these authors.  It is like a money run to what people are seeking.  And why are there so many these days?  Could it be we are seeking our own spirituality and seeing the written word helps us define our own questions?

        God bless, J

It probably is. We pare so use to needing approval for everything I guess this is no different.  after having been psychic for so long, it seems that everyone should know what we know.  I think may also come with someone having to have something “smack” them before they pay attention to what is going on.  I know i had gone for years in my life and never thought about it then something would bring it back to me.  So, I guess I am saying the awareness needs to be brought out of a person who doesn’t recognize it yet.  Have you read your personal email that I sent you about the lessons you teach?

Got it, thanks.  Another question, can I get certified or licensed through you by taking your courses?

We have guidelines for certification in speaking, demonstrating and healing.  These also lead to Ordained Minister in Spiritualism.  These guidelines are based upon education and hands on experience together adding up to full participation.

I think I have every book Wayne  Dyer wrote.  Love Deepak Chopra and Marianne Williamson, Louise Hay.  I agree that some of them haven’t put out anything new but there basic ideas need to be internalized.

Each and every one of us has psychic abilities.  They are a part of the sensitivities within ourselves and we just have to listen to the still, small voice within to hear another energy world.

Mediumship is about our 5 senses (sight, sound, smell, taste, touch – tactile and emotional) and adding 2 more – intuition from the gut and I know from the heart – as we take them into that sensitivity part of ourselves.  That is the part that we play in the mediumship.  The spirit guides that come to work with us have a part to play in reducing their energies to meet our elevated energies.

This happens in meditation.  Meditation is the key to exercising our sensitivities and reaching an energy within ourselves (spirit) that opens us to the messages of spirit realms of existence.

A medium attunes to their own spirit guide.  Trying to attune to each and every spirit that is floating by would have many non-compatible among them.  So the process of communication is an attunement of spirit between self and the spirit guide.

The person having the reading attunes to the process to help make it compatible.  They have a part to play as well.  They bring their own personal energies as well as the spirit entities they would like to hear from – this happens by a process of thinking about them and wanting to hear from them when they are available.

A simple process all in all.

      God bless, J

      Hi J,

I am sorry; I accidentally clicked on report instead of share.  Could any moderators please disregard this.  I just wanted to tell you that I love Rescue Mediums.  I also love Ghost Whisperer, and I watch Ghost Hunters as well.  When my husband and I go to Kingston, ON, in the summer, we go on Haunted Walks and they are a lot of fun.  Take care and have a great day.
