Welcome to VN Tha Diamond,
It sounds good but it would depend on the subject matter. If it’s something that’s close to the heart, it’s sometimes hard to separate the influence we have on the whole process. If it’s something new, then, of course, the learning curve is way up there. I’m trying to see where you’re going with this. Being a coach, I’m sure you have some great input.
What do you have on your mind?
Hello Moongoddess,
Thank you for chiming in. I am a huge fan of Indian philosopher Krishnamurti. His quote resonates deeply with growing my coaching practice. I felt tingly inside when I read it. Reminds me of a song I heard a long time ago… Ain’t Understanding Mellow by Jerry Butler. When you understand something, it frees your heart & mind to enjoy the moments. I still play that song to this day.
The statement does have many wings, as you stated, it would depend on the event. Since there are many women here with diverse expertises, I thought I’d throw it out there and listen to experience.
You might want to think in terms of the natural law. That which we dwell upon in mind, will manifest in body and spirit.
And the fact remains that human thinking so easily goes to negativity and it takes work for positive thought. Which do you think is more rampant?
God bless, J
Greetings Spiritalk.
Or as a man thinketh would apply as well.
The easy answer would be negativity, but I don’t believe that. The media etc., plant those seeds to play on our emotions. If more people CHOSE to develop themselves, they would ‘understand’ more about themselves & others. That’s what self-development & the book of Proverbs is all about…self-correction.
When my son was young he asked me why was it so hard to be nice? :-0 A working mother to two children & well traveled, that thought hadn’t crossed my mind. My answer: I don’t know son. It’s a journey we’ll have to travel and learn about together. We have learned many things since then and that understanding Spiritalk, is freeing us both.
That is what free will is all about – choosing positive over negative. It is true we can think negative easily, and sometime remaining positive is a lesson in spirituality.
As a man thinketh so he is or becomes. It is certainly our mandate to remain positive in all circumstances. I certainly see it that way.
BTW I have quit following the news and yet it seeps into my life. It does not seem to be important news unless it is negative. That is why it was so wonderful to see all the stories on the olympics – a journey in nations coming together, even if for competition.
God bless, J
“The social psychology of this century reveals a major lesson: often it is not so much t/kind of person a man is as t/kind of situation in which he finds himself that determines how he will act.” Stanley Milgram (1974)
With free will choices who put him there?

God gave us the authority to govern our lives, and we find ourselves where we land by our own choices. I love this quote. It helps me to have compassion for others as well as for myself.
Spiritalk, I’m curious. Why do you choose not to post a photo of yourself?
So far I haven’t figured out how. I joined the group and got so engrossed in the threads I did not go back to the profile to see how. I am not the most computer literate. So it will be my mission to try today.
God bless, J
So glad to see you Ms. Spiritalk. (((Hugs)))
