I’m 25 in my head and spirit. It’s just the body that feels and looks differently, and I’m always a little surprised when I look in the mirror each morning.
I sure hope I dont ever feel grown up all the way. What fun would that be? Besides Im getting the age where I can get away with being a kid again.
HE WHO IS OF CALM AND HAPPY NATURE WILL HARDLY FEEL THE PRESSURE OF AGE, BUT TO HIM WHO IS OF AN OPPOSITE DISPOSITION, YOUTH AND AGE ARE A BURDEN..PLATO*
NEVER LOOSE THE CHILD IN YOU, WHEN YOU DO THAT’S WHEN YOU’LL GROW OLD!
Who wants to grow up!! I love trying anything new, new places, new food, new fun activities. I love being in my 50′s I wouldn’t change a thing.
I saw an interesting industrial film one time that showed what each decade of our life was intended to accomplish. The experiences we have color our age and aging process. Remaining open to all the experiences is a measure of staying youthful and vibrant.
God bless, J
I haven’t figured out what all grown up means. I keep thinking I will know it when I get there.
I can relate, I sit at my computer what will come after this point in my life. I hear alot of talk about we have just begun and the best is yet to come, for some reason I do belive this. I have been through so much and I know as long as I keep my eyes on the Lord and trust In His Love everything is goin to be alright and beautiful!
Are you kidding? I’m 56, my daughter is nearly 31 and sometimes it’s hard to tell who’s the parent and who’s the child. She’s kind of tightly wound, likes to plan, a wee bit of a control freak; me, I’m a pseudo-hippie, easygoing, let-the-chips-fall-where-they-may kind of woman. I get on the floor and play with my 3 year old grandson, play PlayStation videogames with my ex-boyfriend, and have two tattoos. I’m as serious and responsible as the next 50+ woman when I need to be, but like everyone said, why not have fun along life’s journey? In my head, I’m about 30. Unfortunately, my body didn’t get the message!
grown up, love that idea…. I felt grown up, when I recognized the child inside my own head, learned to nurture ad appreciate that child and protect it from the slings and arrows of outrageous forturne. I play with my inner child, I allow her to guide the play time, and when playtime is over, i go back to doing what all grown ups must do, but I never ignore my inner child, she is after all the beginning that led to who I am now.
