I have never behaved….whatever that means! Born standin’ up and talkin’ back; good thing or I might be drooling in a corner.
Joined the army right out of high school (when a lot of people told me I shouldn’t; they had no idea what they were talking about)…….I don’t listen to others, unless it resonates with me.
Married someone who abused me for 31 years, and then stood up (literally) and fought a whole church for 18 months….in the end on my birthday (8 years ago), Sept.. 29th, my name was put up on a big screen, followed by the words, “Conduct Unbecoming a Child of God.”
Called to a meeting of deacons (16 “men”), no allowed to have a woman with me and asked:”Are you still having sex with your ex?” No boundaries. This was because I let the x live in my house after the divorce.
Wrote about my life and won a scholarship and am a Freshman in college (social work/counseling) at 65!!
Written 2 books (1 is a memoir, Ghost Child to Triuimph), the other a poetry book, Sanctuary of the Soul (poems of anguish, healing, hope, comfort and celebration). My endorsements humble me: Elie Wiesel, Wayne Dyer, Nikki Giovanni, Drs. Alice Miller, Larry Dossey, Oriah, Clint van Zandt, et al.
I have spent my life speaking up and am determined to make a difference in the world. I am the moderator of an abused survivors’ group, also
Cheers! Miss Behaved
