made myself sick

I’m a vetern CNN watcher, have been for years. The last few days I could hardly stand to watch the news which I love to do. Last night I watched the Larry King Live 2 Hour show, then the Anderson Cooper 360 reporting from Haiti until about 11 PM or midnight. I couldn’t sleep, and got so upset. My heart is breaking for these people.

Catherine, it’s that feeling of hopelessness.  And you probably want to help.  You may want to ration your news channels maybe switching to something lighter, much lighter once in a while to keep sane.  So sad for what’s going on.  You have a very big heart.  You could also concentrate on the things that are going on to help.  When you find that channel, please share it.

yes I tried switching channels but the reports from Haiti were almost wall to wall channels.  of all the catastrophic events in the world, for some reason this has just wounded me.  Right to the core.  I feel like the world is wounded in a way I find hard to articulate.

So much help is pouring in but as of last night it still hadn’t hit the streets except in drips and draps to meet the peoples needs were they are at.  and have been for 7 days.  People rescued and then dying for lack of medical aid for secondary infections.

I was up unti about 3 AM just could not make myself go to sleep, and I am a sleeper believe me.
