HOT, HOT, HOT!!!!

I’ve sorta been out of the blogging loop for a while. We’ve been moving, and boy have we ever been busy the last month or so. Back in September 2011, my husband got a job in Kentucky. The kids and I have been in Louisiana trying to sell our home. After dealing with a  realtor who would not show our house, we finally changed to one who showed it and within six weeks, we were out of there.

As most of you know, much of the country is in a heat wave. We were very lucky, that the two days, the movers moved us into our new place, the temperature was only in the high 90′s, breezy, and dry. The day after move in, we started dealing with temperatures as high as 108+ and high humidity (not as much as Louisiana, but still pretty muggy). I’m just thankful, I am able to unpack my boxes in the air conditioning.

Even though, this area is very dry and hot, I know it could be so much worse. I have family in Colorado, so I’ve been hearing about all the fires. That would be so frightening!  I also know people who are east of us (West Virginia) and they dealt with some bad weather, and were without power for about a week. I have experienced that on several occasions (a few hurricanes and one ice storm), and that is no fun either; especially with the HOT weather!

Well, I do hear the boxes calling my name. I’ve already gone through about 200 boxes, and have many more left.  I can’t wait to get to the point where I can hang all my pictures and start decorating our house! The sooner I get these boxes unpacked, the sooner I can get to the fun part…so bye for now…..
