Hopi Reservation

I was reading that we are giving so much to the Haiti people when we also need to focus here in the states at our own and thinking I just wish I could help in some small way and it wasn’t a half a hour later I receved a e-mail asking if I wanted to go to AZ and work on the Hopi Reservation I am excited beyond belief

Planning this trip late March early April I am from MI so what is the weather in those parts that time of year I hear it is dry and dusty?

I find it’s best to check for internet for weather since it can change at the last minute.  Have a great trip and have fun. Take lots of sunscreen and cotton clothing.

I grew up just off the Hopi…. March & April can be anywhere from hot as hell to snow on the ground. But I will warn you…no matter what they tell you the day time temps are….pack for both. The Arizona Deserts (including the high deserts) can be hot as hell in the day and you could freeze at night. The two extremes in a 24 hour period can be hard on a body. And yes…dry & dusty and windy.

The Hopi people are wonderful, gifted people…do not leave without at least one kachina.
