Saving CeeCee Honeycutt

I just read Saving CeeCee Honeycutt and couldn’t put it down. What a sweet, wonderful story — beautifully written & charmingly told — about strong independent (eccentric?) women taking care of each other.

I, too, enjoyed this book.  Have you read “The Secret Life of Bees”?  It is a similar story.  Very good.

Our book club will be reading Cee Cee Honey Cut for August. Just finished reading “The Persian Pickle Club” for my book club. It’s about a quilting friendship circle and a a little mystery thrown in, very enjoyable book.

Remember that song that the Dixie Chicks sang years ago about Earl? About the guy who abused his wife & the police couldn’t stop him — so he “disappeared.” Turned out that Earl was a missing person that no one missed at all? Remember? Well, if there was any part of that song that resonated with you, get the Persian Pickle Club right now. You’ll love it.
