Nicole Kidman set to star in a film about the late Dusty Springfield.

Born Mary O’Brien, Dusty Springfield sang such hits as: in 1963 with the upbeat pop hit, “I Only Want To Be With You”. Her following hits included “I Just Don’t Know What to Do with Myself”, “Wishin’ and Hopin’” and “You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me”, “Son of a Preacher Man.

Anyone else remember Dusty Springfield in the late 60′s?? Connect with me on Facebook to weigh in there also.

Thanks,

Lynne

I loved Dusty Springfield as a young girl and still love her sound to this day. She died way too young.

I’m a big fan. Dusty broke my heart when I met her in the mid 80s, introducing herself by saying “I used to be Dusty Springfield.” Sad. Dusty in Memphis is one of the greatest albums evahhhh.

No! I do not see Nicole Kidman as Dusty. Someone make her stop, she’s the kiss of death of filmdom! There ought to be a law.

Why not Julianna Moore? Can Gwen Steffani act?
