Mourning the passing of Sheila Lukins

I’m sad to share that Sheila Lukins passed away on Sunday after being diagnosed with brain cancer just 3 months ago. What a loss to us all. I enjoyed the copy of Ten: All the Foods We Love and 10 Perfect Recipes for Each  that I received from Vibrant Nation. I’ve also made many recipes from  The New Basics Cookbook and The Silver Palate Good Times Cookbook which she co-authored wtih Julee Rosso.

Her obituary can be read at http://memorialwebsites.legacy.com/sheilalukins/homepage.aspx?cid=direct

Tonight I plan to make a simple meal, using her recipes, to celebrate her life and love of food. I think that’s what she’d have us do.
