First Nations Dances at the Olympics Opening Ceremony

It made me cry to see so much beauty and energy. I realize it was a theatrical production, but it knocked me out.

Did you see it? What impression did it leave you with?

We watched the First Nations dancing.  My thought was how incredible that all those different nations are coming together for the winter Olympics.  Then the athletes started walking in.  All these humans from all over the world, joining in together, competing against each other, and still remaining friendly.  Pretty astounding!!!

We had a dinner engagement so we rushed home and caught about half of it.  Fantastic show.  How they mimicked the Northern lights and all of the constellations was awesome.  Hope I can catch the whole thing soon.  The dancing and scenes on the floor were captivating.

The entrance of The First Nations at the opening ceremony was absolutely breathtaking!   It is the first time in forever that the Native nations have been honored.   It made my soul soar!

I keep hearing news reports saying it just wasn’t Beijing, why couldn’t they enjoy  and respect  the Native people?

The listing of the countries where the winter games have been held while the Maple leaf was lit on the mounatin side was lovely.
