In April 2008, designer Babette Pinsky celebrated the 40th anniversary of her Oakland-based women’s clothing line – a rare feat in an industry not known for nurturing long-lived brands or careers. Today, Babette’s clothing is available in 350 stores nationwide, including Babette shops in San Francisco; Portland, Oregon; New York; Chicago; and Scottsdale, Arizona.
