my bio

62 years old; married 42 years, two daughters, three grandaughters. CEO of a local real estate trade association.  Looking to retire at the end of 2011 but with no hobbies, I am a little bit afraid after working 38 years!

• How did you get to where you are now?

  By working hard in my industry; educating myself along the way.  Personally I have learned to be more patient and kinder and appreciate what I have.

• How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

  Well, I am not a grandmother to three beautiful girls; that certainly gives you a new outlook on life!  I am happy that I have my health, my family, meaningful work.

• Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

  Retired and stress-free!

a postcard to my younger self

Hey you! you finally get it don't you?  Family means everything; unfortunately we don't always realize this when we are in the "thick of things" like working and raising a family.  I was way too selfish and did not appreciate the wonderful husband I had and almost drove him away(well, I know there were some indiscretions but I can't dwell on that now; been married 42 years!) If I had to do it over again, I would be a nicer person who put her children and husband first.
