my bio
I am a 51 year old female baby boomer. Weekdays you can find me at my corporate executive job, evenings you can find me at my yoga class or at home eating a healthy meal (or trying to eat healthy), and on summer weekends (and sometimes fall, winter, and spring weekends too) I love to go to the beach. Ah yes, you can also find me blogging, sometimes at all hours of the night at aboomerslifeafter50.blogspot.com
I'm a mom to two grown children (one who is working and one who is in college). Unfortunately, after a long and wonderful 25 year marriage, I became a widow at the age of 50. However, I continue to be optimistic about the future. My philosophy is to age gracefully, and to keep my chin up...so my neck stays forever wrinkle-free.
my VN interview
-
How did you get to where you are now?
I got to where I am now through a lot of life experiences, soul searching, and mindfulness meditation. I realized when I turned 50 that it was finally time to become my authentic self.
-
How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?
I'm much more in tune with my mind, body and spirit.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I don't know where I will be 10 years from now, but there will be lots of changes along the way and I'm sure my life will be very different than it is today. Let's see, for one thing, I will be 61 not 51, so I will be closer (much closer) to retirement. Hmm, hmm, hmm...I think I will be getting ready to enter a whole new world.
a postcard to my younger self
Dear Judi,
Please don't be so hard on yourself. Slow down and take time for yourself. Your kids will be okay...and remember, they will blame you for something in their lives that you said or didn't say, that you did or didn't do.
Enjoy life to the fullest. Every day is a blessing so live every moment.
XOXO,
Your older self
my role models
Hillary Clinton and Madeleine Albright - super smart women and worldly too
Maya Angelou - a fabulous poet and writer
Ellen DeGeneres and Whoopi Goldberg - so funny and authentic
Madonna - reinvents herself all the time, in great shape and great musician
Brooke Shields - looks great and wears fantastic clothes (wish ABC didn't take Lipstick Jungle off the air)
