my bio

I'm 51-years-old, a writer and pr principal.  I am a avid reader and observer of life.  I have great passion for life and love it.I have a great husband and a wonderful son and we have a great time together, laughing about all sorts of things.  I love my work, I love writing and I have just a few very good friends who get me!  I consider myself blessed.

my VN interview

  • How did you get to where you are now?

I got to where I am today with a lot courage, hard work and a highly developed sense of humor.  I've used my curious nature to find out as much as I can about anything that affects me - from health issues to politics to entertainment.  My life, I now realize, has been "a journey not a sudden landing."

  • How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

Ten years ago I had a four-year-old child, so I was totally focused on bringing him up with my husband.  Motherhood came late so I spent as much time as possible and enjoyed being a mother.  I still do.  Today, I know that my son is a well-adjusted, great kid and now I can open my wings once again and pursue some goals that I had put on the back burner.

  • Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In ten years, I'd like to be a published writer, healthy, active and traveling with my husband.  I'd like to continue to explore my creative side and find things that make my life and the lives of my family fulfilling.  My marriage is also a huge priority because we will be empty nesters by that time.

a postcard to my younger self

Your life is going to be good.  You will have a lot of bumps and some major detours along the way, but you will arrive where you are supposed to be and you will be very happy.  Remember, you are a good person with a lot to offer, you just have to figure that out and you will.  Believe in yourself, believe in miracles - they do happen every day.  Stay strong and never let anyone tell you that you can't do something.  You can do anything when you put your mind to it and you will. You will meet a great guy one day who will become your husband and change your life for the better - that other guy is one of those detours!

my role models

Paul Newman, FDR, Eleanor Roosevelt, Goldie Hawn, Elizabeth Edwards, Bill Moyers, Jon Stewart, Martin Luther King, Jr., Sara Gruen (writer), most teachers and so many common people who make a difference every day by doing the right thing!
