• How did you get to where you are now?

  Overlooked when I wasn't respected. Tried harder in every way I could to have the life I wished for.

   

• How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

  Ten years ago I was still trying to be respected and cherished by working more than was humanly possible and overlooking the big holes in my marriage.

• Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

  I wish I could say.  I can see nothing exciting.

a postcard to my younger self

You had an extremely hard time.  Daddy was a drinker,which brought violence both physical and verbal. you suffered through poverty, embarrassment, taunting and abuse from other children and the expectation from others that you wouldn't amount to a hill of beans. I'm so proud of you. You kept your head up and developed a fierce pride. You are beautiful and I'm incredibly happy that you are here with me.

my role models

The wonderful people who took me under their wing when I was a child and encouraged me while they helped me to learn new skills so I could earn money. The people who made a point to write letters of recommendation and letters of encouragement. My children,two very special friends.  They made me believe I was special when I was struggling to believe it. Without them, I would not be who I am today. My wonderful animals that I've been very lucky to have. They have taught me so much about respect and unending friendship. Any one who has loved me.
