How to incorporate erotica into your vibrator use discreetly

Thanks to the huge popularity of Fifty Shades of Grey, erotica is part of the literary discussion…but that doesn’t mean you want to go public when you’re incorporating it into your vibrator use. Plenty of women don’t want to be seen buying erotica at the bookstore, or reading it out in public – so how can you find a discreet way to incorporate this very specific type of fiction into your vibrator use?

Is erotica more embarrassing than sex toys?

Vibrator use is definitely out in the open. Vibrators for women have become so common, and so commonly accepted, they’ve actually earned an aisle in the supermarket and space on drugstore shelves.

Will erotica soon follow?

Don’t count on it. The trouble with erotica – and why lots of women are understandably shy about getting caught with it – is that often the covers are very visually assaulting. Generally, the covers feature a lot of skin and sometimes a whole lot more that blatantly speaks to sex. Part of the popularity of Fifty Shades of Grey could very well be the low-key cover; it’s a book that might be about anything at all. Glistening bare skin, and lots of it, immediately makes people think about sex (which is kind of the point of such a cover, and erotica books in general).

According to a recent poll published in the Daily Mail, nearly half of all women (43%, to be precise) would rather read about sex than have it. Approximately 400 women responded to the survey, aged 25 to 50, said their own love lives were rather boring compared to books like Fifty Shades of Grey. Of those polled, 91 percent said they’ve read at least one erotica book. But another statistic is far more troubling: of those polled, 68 percent said they would like to read erotica books more often.

What’s keeping them from it? Buying erotica books can be embarrassing, as can reading them right out in the open. Thanks to the Fifty Shades books, it’s possible that the genre will re-package itself eventually with much more discreet covers, but in the meantime you can’t wait for an entire industry to change.

Erotica and vibrator use

Fifty Shades of Grey beat out Harry Potter as the fastest-selling paperback of all time, which proves that women have a strong hunger for erotica in their book collection. But no one wants to go to the erotic bookstore to find a wide selection of such books, and you may not find a whole lot to choose from in big box booksellers that sell hundreds of bestselling paperbacks on their shelves.

You’ll find many more options in the world of ebooks, where every book is just a few button-presses away. With ereaders and tablets, women can very easily incorporate erotica into vibrator use and their sex lives. Some of today’s newer tablets are even waterproof, so you can read while in the bathtub. When you purchase ebooks, the titles won’t appear on your bank statements – only the bookseller itself. Amazon, Barnes and Noble and big name booksellers have millions of ebooks to offer; there are also specialized online bookstore that sell nothing but. Look for new fiction via erotica book blogs, which offer reviews and other info about the newest and best in erotica ebooks.

Even if you don’t have an ereader or a tablet, you can still purchase ebooks to read on a PC or laptop. Amazon has a Kindle program made for computers, and lots of other sites offer software that makes it possible to read every single kind of ebook with a standard computer. When you’re casually reading on your laptop, people will most likely think you’re simply working or surfing the Web – and they’ll never have to know that you’re really getting hot under the collar.

I read (more like devoured) the entire 50 Shades trilogy and LOVED it! My favorite book was the second, but they were all fantastic. I never use my b.o.b. and tell.
