    Hey!

I am looking for organizations to help women.  The Club that I am President of Zonta of Douglas County is looking for organizations or facilities that we can do service work and supply grant opportunities.  If you could give me some a list or advice on this I would greatly appreciated it.

The first thing to ask yourself is: what kind of help can I give and what kind of needs touch me most deeply. Then you should be able to track down an organization that deals with a specific woman’s problem. Here are some areas that I would offer my time and experience to:  older women who are isolated and need companionship; children who need afternoon care so their mothers can work; recovery groups for survivors of breast cancer and other diseases that threaten women.  Also groups that support women who are caring for elderly parents.  And if you have any financial experise, that could be of great help to just about any group of women out there – we are woefully uniformed on that subject. I know your efforts -whatever you choose – will add to the lives of the women you reach out to.
