Hi everyone. I am looking for a small companion (puppy) Anyone know where I can start?

I got ours from the humane society, they are great at matching you up with a dog rather than sell you one and then ” good luck” I asked for a different one and she said Jozie would suit us better and she was right! She is a great little dog!
If he doesn’t stop barking for me to throw his ball while I’m typing, you can have my dog! Be on the lookout for a FedEx box punctured with air holes.
I thought about you when I read this essay today. preparing for a dog.
Now I have to go play with my lord and master. He’s the love of my life, and we hope you find the perfect dog soon.
I think it is pretty much the same with most small dogs….they are hard to potty train…..but you can’t help but love them….kinda like two year olds…=]
I would suggest you look on the internet under animal rescue. I had to put my 13 yr old dog down Easter Monday, and 2 months ago I was missing his companionship. So I started searching on the internet, specifically under “animal rescue” sites, and I found my 5 month old puppy, who was then 2 months old. I highly recommend doing this, or else go to your local humane society.
Yes–try http://www.petfinder.com! Great resource. I got my two puppy mill rescues (Yorkie mixes) there.
Also, here’s a beautiful site: http://www.hua.org (HEARTS UNITED FOR ANIMALS). A friend of mine got a beautiful poodle from that site.
Good luck, and let us know what you decide! A puppy is the best gift you could ever give yourself in terms of the love you will feel from and for it.
Well I guess it depends on what sort of puppy your looking for…myself I am a Yorkie lover they are smart loyal and the best companion.
My husband and I raise Yorkies. We have two males that will be ready for their forever home around Christmas. The mom weighs 5lbs and the dad weighs 2.5lbs, so they should both be on the smaller side. Right now they are 4 days old and do not have their eyes open yet, but are still very cuddly. we pick them up as babies so they get use to being with us humans and spoiled, right from the start! If interested let me know,
at kiji web site at buying and selling
We got our last dog from the Humane Society and is one of the best dogs we have ever had
SPCA’s and Humane Societies are also great places to search, it just breaks my heart to do that so I opt for the rescue route. FTR, a lot of rescued dogs are rescued from shelters, etc.
I have a miniature schnauzer and love her as a house dog! They do not shed and I have trained her not to bark much. I was concerned about having a dog that is not high energy and she is just perfect. I was told that shitzu’s make a good lap dog.
There’s always a cute little furball looking for love and a good home at your local SPCA or Humane Society!
I have Scottish terriers, they are wonderful loving dogs. But check out the pound, 2 of my three dogs came from there. If you want a pure breed, check out the AKCs web site you find lots of information about all the breeds there
If you know of someone please tell me too. I am looking for a puppy or dog that weight less than 20 lbs. I am wanting a therpy dog for myself. Betty
