How to do a fitness workout with no gym or fitness equipment

During a recent visit to San Diego, I went for a run along the waterfront outside my hotel – and made up this interval cardio and strength workout on the fly.

Thanks for the tips they were very helpful,  when I hit menopause I went from fit to fat,  I walk everyday, don’t diet but eat well, and I’m just stuck.

Excellent workout!  When I travel I like to get outside and do a walk/run jog. It is always nice to be outside and your location in San Diego looks like a perfect place to workout. Thanks for sharing.

Loved your workout. Perhaps you know of a CD for Baby Boomers? Couldn’t find one in Barnes and Noble

Thank you!  Could you do some of the moves  you see in the video at home or in your neighborhood?  If you answered “yes”, and you are a Baby Boomer……there’s your baby boomer workout!

I have a catalog here in my office of exercise videos.  I’ll dig it out and see if I can find something for you.

I have been keeping it mum for awhile, but I’ll let the cat out of the bag:  I wrote an a-book that gives you step by step instructions for working out.  There have been some hiccups in the marketing of the book—but it’s done and just waiting to be “debuted”.  I’ll let you know when it’s out, as I think it will be just what you need.

Maybe the next thing on my “to do” list is an exercise video–maybe an at-home workout for boomer women?  What does everybody think?

I really like your travel workout!  My husband and I are hikers.   We always take a laptop and seek out the hiking trails in the hotel the first night.  Then we spend most of the day hiking around seeing the sights too.  We feel that sometimes we really do not need the tours for some things.  You can see a whole lot more on foot at your own pace whether fast or slow.

I have been excercising to dance videos for the past 15 years.  It is fun and is a great workout as long as the steps are not difficult.

I injured my back and knee skiing and then injured myself again when I rolled my opposite ankle descending a mountain and it has been a slow recovery but  I am getting my grove back.  I have found out the hard way that if it hurts that is when I stop right now or I pay for it.
