Zero calorie drinks (non-alcoholic) Hot Conversation

I’m trying to lose weight, but I’m stuck on finding a beverage that has ZERO calories, or at least LOWER calories.  Nothing I’ve tried really TASTES good!  Water is BORING at every meal!  I’m not a coffee drinker, and I don’t really care for “freshly brewed” teas.  Artificial sweeteners just taste YUCKY!!  I’m dehydrated by the end of every day and end up “drinking” a lot of extra calories just to re-hydrate!! …yah, milk, juice, Coke(!!)

Does anyone have any ideas for “tasty” low, or no calorie beverages??  I think I can lose this weight if I can solve this ONE problem!

I know how you feel about water, has no taste, I buy lemons, limes and oranges and cut them up into a water jug and put it in the fridge, the flavour of the fruit goes thru the water and at least not boring i like more lemons than any of the others and good calories and you stay hydrated!

Hmmm….good idea!  I’ve tried the lemons/limes trick, but maybe adding ORANGES might be interesting…or maybe all three!  I’ll try it.  Thanks!  :)

Drink water, even if it’s boring. It’s not like it tastes bad! And believe me, you’ll not only get used to it, you’ll start wanting it. Get yourself some 16-oz bottles, fill up 4 of them in the morning, and drink them all by the end of the day. It’s not really that much and it’s IMPORTANT!

Also I agree with yaya – you can pep up the taste of water. I went to a restaurant in Hawaii a few years ago, and they served water steeped with mint leaves and lime. It was delicious!

Do this for yourself, Time4Me. Drinking plenty of water is essential for your health.

Thanks for the response HB…  I’m intrigued by the idea of MINT LEAVES.  That sounds different!  I’ve never tried that before!  In fact, I’m gonna go to the market this afternoon and take a look at my options of other types of things that could be added to my water to “spice it up”!!  Thanks!!  :)

that is what I did, and now I often crave a drink of water.   I also keep track by drinking out of 16oz bottles, as well as being good for you, it hydrates you skin.

Brew white tea, red tea, rosehip, naturaly flavored teas and drink them on ice. It’s good and full of anti oxidant.

Yes have you tried…Viatmin water? or green tea? 3 -4 cups of green tea a day, not only helps with your thirst, but it also helps you to burn calories as well. Green tea contains special chemicals called catechins. You still need your water every day, it helps to flush out toxins, so drink up!!!

Yes!  Vitamin Water IS good!  In fact, I am drinking some right now!  However, it has 50 calories per 8 oz…so a 20 oz. bottle equals 125 calories!  I have tried the 10 calorie bottle, but it’s yucky!  I don’t like tea…wish I did!  I know it would be VERY good for me!  I only like Lipton Raspberry or Lemon tea that is sold in the bottle.  But, again, it has 60 calories for 8 oz…so a 20 oz bottle is just too many calories to waste!  (Those calories really add up by the end of the day!!)  And, I’ve tried putting Stevia in freshly brewed tea…  It’s okay, but I wouldn’t say that I enjoy it enough to make it my “go to” drink everyday!

Thanks for the ideas though!  :-)

Um…WOW!  Now, THAT was a POST!!

However, I’m really, REALLY sensitive to caffeine…or so-called “energy boosters!”   The words “increases metabolism, sustained ENERGY BOOST” etc., makes me want to run the other way!   How do people drink this stuff…and get to SLEEP at night??   Just ONE Mountain Dew, as early as 1 p.m., will keep me awake for the entire night!  But, thanks for the great info!  Maybe someone else, who is not so sensitive to the “stimulant” effect can benefit.

Well, I think I’m convinced that good, old-fashioned WATER really IS the way to go…for ME anyway!! …with an occasional  squirt of flavor here and there!  :-)    I’ll just hafta rev up my metabolism with EXERCISE. That should help me to SLEEP too!

      Thanks Ladies!!

I understand!  I appreciate what you are sharing from your heart.   I feel sometimes we need to give ourself time to transition into a stage of confirming what we already know to do about this area in our life that needs to be addressed.

And, it certainly empowerments us when we hear from others and their solution to addressing the need.  I believe one must trust themself to believe they can make change.  And speak positive affirmations over oneself.

You will conquer this area in your life.

I Believe In You!!  You Can Do It!!!!
