I would like to know more. I have been told it is a live virus and it has not been tested enough. I guess it will be taken out of my hands, because I work in the health field. It will be mandatory.

I spent some time yesterday talking to my daughter’s pediatrician about the vaccine. This woman is a true non-alarmist and someone I trust very much. She says it is a very safe vaccine and highly advised my daughter, as well as myself, to get it. We have both received the seasonal flu vaccines, no bad reaction for either of us.
My daughter will have to wait three weeks to get the nasal swine flu vaccine because she received flu mist for seasonal protection just a week ago. Because they are both “live” they need that amount of separation.
I intend to get the swine flu shot. I have discussed the matter with my primary care physician and others and feel confident that I should hve it and that it is safe. I have RA and Lupus, and believe that I need this double protection. I also had my pneumonia shot(which should be taken every five years).
The injection vaccine for H1N1 is like the injection vaccine for seasonal flu – the virus is made inactive. The nasal mist types do contain weakened live virus.
