I had one in my right knee and it has helped a lot, but it hasn’t restored full use of the knee. However, my knee is completely shot (zero cartilidge) and needs a full replacement. The doc will tell you that everyone is different and it works better for some than others. Check to see that your insurance pays for it otherwise it’s quite expensive, almost $700. Immediately following the injection, I could barely walk out of the docs office. It began to work in about three days and has lasted since last April.
P.S. The injection is completely painless. Ask for the topical spray that numbs the skin and you won’t feel a thing!
