Ahhh feet problems…………
Starting at 58, almost to the day, I developed plantar fasciitis. It is actually an INJURY to the plantar surface of the heel. It was VERY painful, for a full year, which is a normal recovery time. I tried shoes, all, inserts, $200 that insurance did not cover. Finally I resorted to the shots, which by the way, were not that painful, as I expected. Around the time of the shots, within a month, I think it just ran it’s course, as is the NORM.
Now, at 60, I have developed my 1st bunion. I think FEET just fall apart after a certain age. 60 years of standing on them.
So again I am ‘shoeing,’ trying inserts etc…………any advice????

sigh. i did bunion surgery. 2 feet both at the same time.
if your bunions get big enough, you cant wear normal shoes. and nothing except surgery makes them smaller.
so my advice…..change your shoewwear now. give up the high heels. pronto. give up anything pointy for wide toe styles. Stylish sexy shoes are over.
unless you want them to grow and grow and wind up in surgery And they are never the same. mine are crampy. stiff. and scarred.
oh but im still wearing heels. i’m a fool.
I would try Bunion Bootie. My mom has had great success with them and so have I. If they don’t work out their customer service department is great and will allow a return – even if you’ve worn them for a couple of weeks. They aren’t as tough on the feet as some inserts and braces but you can wear them all day which helps in your shoes.
Otherwise ditto on ditching the heels. Luckily I live in CA where we can wear flip flops most of the year
Just a suggestion
I will check on Bunion Bootie. I have NEVER worn heels, so at least I made it till 60 before having one KILL ME. I have heard you are ‘born’ with bunions, some just come out later………….ughhhhh
