What my mood swings are teaching me

Having been in peri-menopause for 8 years now, it has definitely not been easy, but I feel like it is a very natural part of life.

I was on adrenal supplements for the first few years when the mood swings were really bad, and that helped a lot.  I’ve not taken anything now for the last 5 years, and it’s not been too bad.  Most problematic has been insomnia.

Mostly my approach has been to really concentrate on listening to the messages in any moods I have, and have found this to be a profoundly amazing time of life.  Not easy, but each mood I look at reveals something very interesting about myself or others in my life, and can point me to things that I need to change.

Every illusion about myself or others I confront seems to set me a little more free.

I take red clover for the hot flashes and use the extra time I have since I don’t sleep as much to write a book.
