menopause

I have to stop using hormone patch.
UGH!! Any advice on dealing with the hot flashes and insomnia?

    No.  I whined and whined and after “they” took away my HRT drugs the day after breast cancer surgery, finally was prescribed testostorn and dixarrit (a med for low blood pressure) it did help.  I said help not eliminate.  That was because my tumor was not hormone sensitive.  Otherwise I would have been on some estrogen blocker that promotes leg/lung blood clots.  I think death is an end to menopause.  I have had the effects of menopause since 41 and am 66 now and they are still not GONE.  Sleeping pills/melatonin help.  Cotton sheets help.  A classy hand fan ala Christina Agulera on The Voice .. other than that and water exercise because no one “sees you sweat”.  the flashes are incorrigible.
