Hello VN Sisters! I am enrolled in a 40-week permanent weight loss class with America’s weight-loss catalyst coach, Pat Barone. I plan to share the main take-away from our group’s lessons. I hope you will join me as I learn a different relationship with my body and the food I put in it, tell me when what I write is helpful (and when it’s not!) and comment often!
When I am in the middle of a creative project, I often lose my way for a while. I think this is part of the creative process that at times the gas runs out and one has to putter along on fumes for a while until an idea of how to progress from here fills up the tank again. What is important to me was not to abandon the car.
I have skipped a whole section about the weight loss program; the weeks that I have not written about have been the most important thus far. It is about the mental part of losing weight. It is about learning to deal with the gremlins or negative voices in our head that sabotage us. The things I am learning are profound, life changing, and are helping me with success in all areas of my life.
I will write more about this part of the program as I learn how to write about my feelings and experiences.
This isn’t about weight loss to me anymore, although that is part of it. This is about navigating life so that the tank is always half full.
How about you? When on a project, does you enthusiasm wax and wane? After a break when you feel like you are losing ground, do you come back with a new-found energy?
