Was it very expensive to join curves? I have a definate weight problem and need to do something. I just don’t want to join an exercise club where you are basically “on display” or a meat market. I would like to have a club where I can get one on one for my particular situation and age. What is your experience?
I joined Curves last year but had to cancel my membership due to decrease in income. I loved it. Made some great friends. I didn’t feel on display. The other ladies offered lots of support and encouragement. The time goes fast because you work at each exercise station for a very short time. I paid about $40 a month when I joined. Give it a try. I think you’ll like it. It’s much different than joining a gym. Best wishes.
my experience has been good. I am at the silver slippers age and so the insurance pays for curves. today I joined the weight management group. It was a nice group and we got information about the diet. I havent lost weight but I have lost 4 inches since I joined 2 weeks ago. I like the exercise. I go 3 times A week when it is convenient for me. yes and the time goes fast.. today I joined their weight management program…the program is free but I did buy the book as that explains the diet.
I considered the Curves near my home….smelled like old gym socks so forget it. The original one I went to try several yrs ago is gone Guess Ill go back to LVAC, las vegas athletic center…several locations here now offering 12.00/mo dues. Down from $19. My fave would be the Anytime Fitness but is 39.00/mo
I love the new CurvesSmart program, it really gives me a work out.
