Help. Never had to do this before! Would love honest comments from your own experience, please. Over the counter pills? Diets? Detox? (Heading to FL in just a few weeks and nothing fits. Can’t afford a new wardrobe. And yes…..that IS me eating cake in the picture!) Thanks much!

I lost 20 lbs recently. Didn’t take too much work either. I gave up drinking pop which was really getting out of control. Then I switched my bread to either none, or Weight Watchers bread which you can buy in any grocery store. I also get out my juicer and juice for even a few days, and the weight melts away.
Please don’t fall for any quick weight loss schemes. You can lose 1-2 pounds of fat a week, that’s it. Anything else is water and temporary.
My suggestion is to get a couple of outfits that fit you now and that you look really good in. Then sail thorugh your trip with confidence and enjoy yourself. You say you can’t afford new clothes — save the money you’d spend on pills, diets, and detox, and there’s your clothes money!
Nothing safe will let you lose 20 lbs in two weeks, but you did say a “Few” weeks, didn’t you. Eat less (but eat right) and exercise more. That’s the key. We all know it, but most of us don’t want to do it. HA! It is very possible to loose six to nine pounds in two or three weeks. It basically depends on how much you are over weight. Remember the faster it comes off, the faster it goes back on, plus some. The weight watcher’s diet, will get you on track, and keep you on track. You can even watch what you eat, while you are in FL, and possibly drop a few pounds while you are there.
Thanks, ladies, for the candid comments so far! I am 15-20 overweight. It came on quickly due to taking Lyrica for a pinched nerve. I have started back on the treadmill and using some light weights. I would just love to get a quick start….
